Bat Removal in Hanover, MD

“Your crew of Gil and Josue visited us this morning and performed the brick-frieze board caulking and bat trap installation.

I watched a lot of their work primarily so that I’m aware of what they did, but I generally like to watch workmen using their skills.

Gil and Josue seemed to do a fine job; they were neat, diligent, and meticulous in everything they did. They worked well as a team and were friendly, to boot. I was pleasantly surprised at how at ease they were on the ladders as they worked, especially Gil at the top of the 36’ ladder near the gable peak. Gil was very helpful in explaining the aluminum “trap” that he constructed and attached at the peak of the gable — I had been expecting a true cone rather than a rectangular egress “chute.”

Gil said they typically leave the traps in place for a couple of weeks.

Steve’s visit with us on Monday (4/17) to inspect and investigate the bat incursion and layout of our house was an educational prelude to today’s work. I appreciate Steve’s explanation on bat behaviors, where they might be hiding in the gable, the work that would be performed (today) to eliminate the bats, the details in the estimate he left with us, and some other general chit-chat. Thanks.”
